Process Technician; Electronic Encapsulation

Position Overview

Potting & Encapsulation Technician – 12‑month contract with potential extension.

• Material Preparation – Mix and handle encapsulation and potting compounds to meet consistency and quality standards.
• Application – Manually pour or inject materials around electronic parts or into mold cavities to secure and insulate components.
• Curing and Finishing – Allow materials to set and solidify, often under controlled temperatures, to ensure quality and durability.
• Inspection and Testing – Check encapsulated parts for air bubbles, voids, or defects to maintain high performance standards.
• Safety Compliance – Handle potentially hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols to prevent contamination or damage to sensitive electronics.

• Technical Knowledge of Potting and Encapsulation Materials – Familiarity with resins, silicones, and epoxies is desirable.
• Basic Electronics Understanding – Work carefully around sensitive electronic components.
• Equipment Handling – Experience with dispensing machines, curing ovens, and other tools used for encapsulation processes.
• Quality Control – Conduct thorough inspections, identifying air bubbles, gaps, and imperfections.
• Attention to Detail – Meticulous approach to ensure consistency and quality in every step.

Contract Length: 12 months, with possibility of extension beyond December 2025.

Core

Working Hours:

37 hours per week.

Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am – 4:15 pm;
Friday 7:30 am – 11:30 am.

Pay: £17.52 per hour (excluding holiday pay), £20.07 per hour (including holiday pay). Overtime: time and a half for hours over 37 per week; double time on Sundays.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK freely, adhering to ITAR restrictions.
