An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Stroke Service, based at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse, with significant post registration knowledge and experience within the stroke specialty, who is keen to enhance and develop existing clinical skills within the role of Stroke Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This role is pivotal to supporting the Stroke Team, in the provision of specialist care and treatment for patients immediately following a stroke, undertaking patient assessment & triage. The clinical specialist nurse will support the stroke unit nursing teams to deliver expert care, provide training within the stroke unit and other areas and to support the role of the CHSS Stroke Educator.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced senior registered nurses that have a significant post registration experience and be able to demonstrate excellent clinical and professional practice development.

This post is full-time 36 hours per week, working over 7 days per week, and may include occasional weekend and out of hours working. This post can be considered on a secondment basis but agreement must be approved prior to application by your line manager.
