As a Senior Sales Assistant at Stephens Bakery, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the shop. You’ll open the shop, lead shifts, delegate tasks, and lead by example, maintaining high standards across customer service, food quality, and shop operations.

• Lead daily shop routines and ensure smooth trading from open to close.
• Run shifts with confidence, delegating tasks fairly and clearly.
• Support your Shop or Assistant Manager during shifts.
• Tackle small issues independently and escalated larger ones when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
• Serve customers alongside your team, setting the standard for excellent service.
• Ensure the shop is well‑presented, stocked, and inviting throughout the day.
• Complete daily checks and paperwork to keep everything compliant and safe.
• Manage opening and closing duties, tills, cash handling, stock control, and waste management.

Experience helps, but the right attitude matters most. With a strong work ethic and a passion for people, you’ll receive full training to succeed in this role.
