Cryogenic Sales Engineer About the CompanyOur client is a specialist UK-based manufacturer of high-performance interconnect solutions, including coaxial RF connectors, adaptors, and custom cable assemblies.

With a strong reputation for quality and technical expertise, the business is currently experiencing rapid growth and is investing heavily in new product development, market expansion, and global customer partnerships.
This is a fully remote role, with opportunities for international customer engagement and industry event attendance.
The OpportunityThis role focuses on driving sales and business development within the cryogenic market sector. The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with commercial capability, supporting existing customers while identifying and converting new opportunities across global cryogenic applications.
You will act as a key interface between customers, engineering, and internal commercial teams, ensuring customer requirements are translated into effective technical and commercial solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Development & Technical Engagement
- Own and grow revenue across cryogenic vertical markets
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities
- Provide technical consultation during pre‑sales and solution design
- Support customer‑driven custom product development
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts
- Build long‑term partnerships with OEMs, research institutions, and specialist users
- Maintain and progress opportunities using CRM tools
- Contribute to strategic account planning and personal sales targets
Market & Product Insight
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Feed market intelligence into engineering and product teams
- Support product positioning and go‑to‑market strategies
- Represent the business at exhibitions, conferences, and industry forums (including overseas travel where required)
- Securing new business in global cryogenic markets
- Growing and retaining key customer accounts
- Achieving or exceeding annual sales targets
- Influencing product development through customer and market insight
- Strengthening the company’s footprint in sectors such as quantum computing, scientific research, and medical technologies
Experience
- Background in technical sales, applications engineering, or customer‑facing roles within engineered or high‑technology products
- Experience working with customer‑led technical specifications
- Exposure to cryogenics, low‑temperature systems, or other high‑reliability sectors is advantageous
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong technical communication and consultative selling skills
- Ability to manage sales pipelines and close complex opportunities
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally with engineering and production teams
- Commercially aware, with strong negotiation and relationship‑building capability
Education
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a business/technical discipline is desirable but not essential
