Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven Policy Adviser to join our Community Planning and Partnership Team.
You will be qualified to degree level in Community Learning and Development, or a related discipline, or with equivalent experience in Community Planning and local government policy writing.
The post holder will have a lead role in production and progressing statutory policy requirements and support the delivery across the communities of East Dunbartonshire.
They will have a key role in the wide‑ranging local government and Community Planning policy‑based requirements, which includes supporting coordination of the review of the Local Outcome Improvement Plan, the requirements of the Community Empowerment legislation, Child Poverty and the Community Learning and Development Plan.
The candidate should evidence significant experience in policy writing, and an understanding of the legislative framework around Community Planning Partnerships. They should be proven as an excellent communicator and organised individual who can manage the requirements and workload.
East Dunbartonshire is a small suburban authority situated between the scenic Campsie Fells and the City of Glasgow. The role allows for mobile working, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to combine working from home, in the field and in the office.
