PAY RANGE

The target pay range for this position is $26.35-$32.12 hourly. The full pay range is $21.65-$38.03 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Offers consider individual qualifications. In addition to salary, compensation incentives are available and are performance-based; targets vary by role.

Impact You’ll Make

As a Member Consultant II, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify, diagnose, and address members  consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members  needs with expertise in specialized financial services.

What

You’ll Do

Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:

  • Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales in areas including business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
  • Sign all line and loan documents originated through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member s needs are fulfilled.
  • Assist the community with financial wellness, including financial education programs, budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.

Member Consultant: $26.00-$28.00 per hour. Offers are often made within this range based on experience, skills, and alignment with internal compensation. Starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.

About This Position

, which includes a POD — a group of nearby branches where you ll rotate based on business needs. Travel expectations and location details are listed below.

Travel Expectations
  • Work across all branches in your assigned POD for up to a year
  • POD branches for this role include:
    Kirkland, Kirkland Central
  • Training will take place at the Tukwila Financial Center
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Tukwila and POD locations listed above required
Training Schedule
  • 12 weeks, Monday–Friday
  • Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Post-Training Schedule
  • Flexible shifts Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Up to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum two years in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment

Desired

Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a financial institution
  • Spanish language fluency highly desirable
  • Understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
  • Strong proficiency and comfort with learning new systems and programs; ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Ability to complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Union objectives, products, and services
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposits, and loan products
  • Proficient verbal and written communication with Members
  • Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
  • Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multitasking, and peer coaching skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
