Position Summary

Seeking adjunct faculty member to teach courses in the PsyD in Counseling Psychology or MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program as qualifications and professional experience permits. Courses are scheduled evenings, weekends, or online depending on program and/or modality.

Qualifications
  • Holds a doctorate in psychology, counseling, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Holds appropriate licensure (i.e., psychologist, LMHC, LMFT, etc.) if teaching clinical or counseling based courses.
  • Has a demonstrated record of successfully teaching graduate courses.
  • Possesses a deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ, a Spirit-filled life, and demonstrates integration of faith and learning.
  • Has compassion and a commitment to serve poor and underserved groups in keeping with the vision of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences to integrate psychology, culture and social justice.
  • Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers and students, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.
Compensation

Instructor receives $1,420 per credit (most classes are 3 credits).

Selected programs of study are approved by a Washington State Approving Agency for enrollment of those eligible for benefits under Title 38 and Title 10, U.S. Code and by Washington State for training in Vocational Rehabilitation.
