Position Summary
Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Wealth Advisor responsible for delivering exceptional advice and service to clients, specifically in our Asian Wealth Advisory Practice. You will be the first call for any financial guidance and service that our clients need and the primary point of contact for our Asian Clientele, while also supporting other advisors. You will work expeditiously with the team to conduct financial analyses, construct and manage investment portfolios, project income‑tax liabilities, provide guidance on estate planning, and address other financial needs that benefit our clients in the Asian community.
Focus provides a flexible hybrid schedule: 3 days in office per week with the option to work remotely 2 days per week or as assigned by the team leader.
Primary Responsibilities- Be the point person responsible for managing the guidance and service provided to our clients, with an emphasis on our Asian clientele – either as a supporting advisor or the lead advisor on client engagements.
- Prepare and/or review agendas, reports, and analyses for client meetings and then lead those meetings.
- Evaluate various financial decisions and strategies for clients by conducting research and complex financial analyses on a wide range of investment, tax, estate and financial planning topics.
- Develop, recommend and assist in the implementation of complex portfolio asset allocation and investment strategies – including alternative investments such as hedge funds, private equity and direct real estate.
- Contribute to the growth in new clients via new business development efforts, including referrals, external networking, and active participation in firm‑sponsored growth events and activities.
- Collaborate with the broader client service team to deliver high‑quality service, providing operational support (billing), analysis (financial modeling and tax projections), or client service needs (responding to inquiries, moving money, etc.).
- Provide guidance, feedback and mentoring to junior team members to build their acumen, technical knowledge and advisory abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics from a premier university with strong academic achievement – MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of wealth‑management related experience preferred.
- CFP®, CPA or CFA® designation preferred or working toward one.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in Mandarin and/or other languages;
Japanese or Korean preferred. - Motivated to serve others – strong relationship‑building skills.

- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities and open projects.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $150,000 - $200,000 per year. Actual base pay may vary based on experience, expertise, location, and skill set. Base pay is one component of total compensation; other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
