About The Job

Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know‑how, excellent problem‑solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you’re a big‑picture thinker and strategic team‑player with a passion for doing what’s right.

You work globally and cross‑functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed — with urgency. And you take pride in every day working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

We are seeking an AI‑First, Trust and Safety (T&S) Leader to safeguard platform integrity, protect users at global scale, and guide the next generation of safety capabilities and emerging product experiences. This role requires a product mindset, a background in AI/Agentic designs, and the ability to lead business strategy in ambiguous, fluid environments. You will define our approach to safety, guide cross‑functional teams, and ensure our products are responsible, trusted, and positioned for long‑term success.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google’s various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first‑party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our users’ interactions with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Anticipate threats, translating risk into actionable product direction. Guide product teams on safety tradeoffs, strategy, and solutions involving AI/agentic technologies.
  • Apply safety‑first principles across the product life‑cycle through frameworks, guidelines, and scalable controls. Lead development of trust‑by‑design controls across products, channels, commerce, and AI features. Partner with Engineering to design safety architectures and integrity signals.
  • Advocate safety for AI initiatives, leading cross‑functional work streams to resolve integrity issues.
  • Build mechanisms for early risk detection, incident management, and continuous improvement. Define KPIs and measurement frameworks that demonstrate safety impact and product integrity.
  • Track global standards and represent Google in relevant Trust and Safety, AI governance, and industry forums.
