We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our data center OT security team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics, visualization, and pipeline development to drive data-informed decisions. Your work will directly contribute to improving the team’s performance, advancing sustainability goals, and enhancing operational safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Telemetry Ingestion, Discovery, & Data Engineering Fundamentals
    • Design & Optimize Data Pipelines:
Build and maintain scalable, high-throughput, and fault-tolerant data pipelines utilizing workflow orchestrators (Eg: Apache Airflow) to ingest massive volumes of OT telemetry, network ping sweeps, and industrial sensor data into centralized data lakes or warehouses (e.g. Big Query).
  • Data Engineering Fundamentals
    • Apply core software engineering principles to data workflows. Write clean, modular, and optimized SQL and Python data-processing scripts. Ensure data pipeline reliability through comprehensive logging, schema validation and evolution handling, and unit/integration testing.
  • Clustering
    • Design and implement unsupervised machine learning models (e.g., hierarchical, affinity, or graph-based clustering) to resolve dynamic filters, parent-child relationships into unified, high-confidence device profiles.
  • Profile Matching
    • Develop programmatically automated ETL and matching engines to join real-time data profiles against composite databases, resolving complex ranges.
  • Machine Learning Engineering & Type Script Integration
    • Productionize ML Models:
Transition experimental Jupyter/Python notebooks into production-grade, containerized ML pipelines (utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow or Kubeflow).
    • Type Script Services Development:
Implement and maintain robust microservices, serverless functions (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions), and data-transformation middleware written in Type Script.
    • Internal Tooling & Scripting:
Build automated system scrapers and design custom scripting, web components, and frontend templates (utilizing basic HTML/Type Script) to render dynamic, real-time security insights inside internal portals and developer tools.
  • Risk Posture Automation & Enterprise Reporting
    • Data-Driven Risk Transition:
Automate the migration of legacy, manual risk spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) into secure, relational database structures (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
    • Executive Dashboarding & Visualization:
Customize interactive dashboard applications and reporting platforms (using business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, alongside custom frontend charts) to display site-level risk trajectories, plan‑vs‑actual compliance milestones, and OKRs for global executive leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in data analytics, data science, or a related role.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or PLX.
  • Experience with data quality management and migrations in tools.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills, including PCA, regression analysis, and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data insights to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with sustainability or CSRM data analysis preferred.
  • Knowledge of Big Query and Google Developer Tools (Critique, Cider, Piper).
  • Experience designing dashboards for CSRM.
