As part of a hardworking team of Additive Manufacturing professionals, you will perform part post processing on AM printed hardware. This position requires knowledge of electric or pneumatic hand tools such as impact wrenches, grinders, and air hammers/chisels, along with using safe working practices in support for various spaceflight systems. You will share the team’s impact on all aspects of Additively Manufactured spaceflight while supporting hardware, continuous improvement, and process development.
This position has three main areas that you will be required to support during your shift:
Powder removal, Support removal, and Continuous Improvement. All of these tasks take a meticulous attention-to-detail, so that we can help identify and correct part defects such as cracks, poor surface finish or missing geometry.
Working in this area you will need working knowledge of inspection and measuring tools such as Borescopes, Scriber, Calipers, Micrometers, and Profilometer. You will be required to maintain and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and proactively identify any related shortcomings, identify job hazard analysis (JHA) shortcomings and aid in their authorship. You will need to perform general maintenance on equipment in area and be open to cross-training in other Additive Manufacturing work centers as needed.

- Operate machinery in a safe manner, including PIT equipment, overhead cranes, and de-powdering equipment that support different alloys.
- Firm understanding of work instructions and applying proper documentation to each work order.
- Review and understand control media as it applies to work orders, referencing and documenting as needed throughout shift.
- Interface with a variety of stakeholders from within Additive including; programmers, schedules, machinist and technicians across multiple work centers.
- Position has a high degree of necessary physical mobility. Including climbing stairs, ladders and other lift devices.
- Position requires long periods of standing and covering long distances between work centers.
- Maintain a healthy, clean and organized work area.
- Support department initiatives on safety, 5S, continuous improvement and FOD control.
- Wear PAPR and PPE while on shift.
