Position Overview
Evergreen Health is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN to join the well‑established dynamic team on the 32‑bed Med Surg Unit.
Primary Duties- Provide direct patient care and act as a patient advocate.
- Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
- Coordinate the patient and family/significant other education process.
- Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
- Participate with physician partners and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient/family plan of care.
- Effectively communicate all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, equipment problems, quality issues) to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Communicate and document changes in patient condition in a timely manner to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
- Accountable for following attendance, punctuality, and overall dependability; complete assigned responsibilities within the designated time frames, consistent with organizational policy, goals, and values.
- Responsible for the “Accountabilities” associated with this position in support of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required).
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
- Minimum of one‑year Med Surg nursing experience.
- Current Washington State RN License.
- Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association by start date.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Med Surg certification preferred.
