Blue Pearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital – Neurology Veterinary Assistant

Pay: $20.32 – $30.09/hr Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30 am–5:30 pm. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our Kahuna leveling system.

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast‑paced team environment.

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Discharge, perform call‑backs, and refill medications.
• Client education: gather histories and communicate them to the clinician.
• Perform physical exams and accurately record vital parameters (heart rate, pulse, capillary refill, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, effort).
• Understand normal vital parameters.
• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture; set up intravenous fluids.
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Assist during consultations and diagnostics.
