We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team.

Are you a skilled mechanic looking for your next opportunity? We’re a thriving used car dealership in Huddersfield seeking a qualified, enthusiastic mechanic to join our friendly and growing team.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of used vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards before reaching customers. This is a full-time position where your expertise will directly contribute to our reputation for quality.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a professional environment.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Valid UK driving licence
* Maintain detailed records of work carried out for each vehicle
* Taking a pride in your workspace in our well equipped workshop with two bays
Qualifications
* Proven experience in automotive repair or a related field is preferred
* Qualified mechanic with relevant certifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools
* Experience in assembly, maintenance, and repair
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Good communication skills with a focus on customer service
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology are advantageous but not essential
