Teaching Assistant

Location: Kirklees

Pay: 95 - £110 per day

Contract: Full-time, Part-time and Flexible Opportunities Available

Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference every day? We're working with a range of welcoming primary, secondary and SEND schools across Huddersfield who are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. Whether you're an experienced TA, a recent graduate, or someone with transferable skills from care, youth work or support roles, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
  • Support pupils with their learning and development
  • Work alongside teachers to create an engaging classroom environment
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed
  • Help pupils build confidence, independence and resilience
  • Support positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people, either in schools or other settings
  • A patient, positive and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to adapt to different classroom environments
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing
Desirable Experience

Experience supporting pupils with:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Speech and Language difficulties
  • Additional learning needs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
