Teaching Assistant
Contract:
12-month fixed term, part time, term time only. Position available for 2 days a week, Wednesday/Friday
Salary: £21,257.48 - £23,232.69 (pro rata: £12,754.48 - £13,938.62)

About the School
Located in Huddersfield, our school provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 7 to 18.

Role Responsibilities
Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six)
Support the classroom teacher during lessons
Report on progress and concerns, liaising with school staff
Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips
Assist with lesson planning and preparation
Set work and mark where appropriate
Build positive relationships and support learning outcomes
Requirements
Strong basic education (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT skills
Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant desirable)
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
Ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school or activities
Experience of behaviour management
Commitment to professional development
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
