About the Role:

As a Customs Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international borders. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and declarations.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and submitting accurate customs declarations for imports and exports.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs legislation and procedures.
Calculating and processing duties, taxes, and other applicable charges.
Liaising with customs authorities, clients, and internal departments.
Providing expert advice on customs-related matters.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in customs regulations.
Resolving customs queries and issues efficiently.

About You:

Proven experience as a Customs Specialist within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, tariffs, and relevant legislation (e.g., HMRC regulations).
Proficient in customs declaration software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
