Family Support Worker; Parenting Together

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our multi agency team within the Families Together Gateway to process referrals and requests for support.

• Reviewing referrals and requests for support and gathering additional information to support decisions to ensure that an appropriate response is provided.
• Engaging with parents, children and young people to explore potential areas of need.
• Working alongside colleagues and with partner services to ensure that there is a full understanding of family need so that families have access to the right support at the right time.
• Building trusting relationships with parents and carers.
• Working closely with partners to ensure families receive holistic support.
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and enthusiastic team culture.

• Experience of working with children, families, or in community settings.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
• A warm, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for improving the lives of children.
• A flexible and creative approach.
