Position: REAL Employment Job Coach

REAL Employment is seeking a skilled and motivated Job Coach to support adults with disabilities, health conditions, learning disabilities, and other complex barriers to gain and sustain meaningful employment.

The successful candidate will deliver personalised employment support using the BASE 5-stage Supported Employment model, working closely with job seekers, employers, families, professionals, and partner agencies. The role requires a confident and professional individual who can effectively manage a caseload, undertake vocational assessments, develop employment opportunities, provide workplace job coaching, and ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, advocacy, organisational and relationship-building skills, who is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals. The post holder must be able to work independently, travel across the locality, respond flexibly to service needs, and demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and inclusion.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a professional job coach who is committed to delivering positive employment outcomes and making a meaningful difference to the lives of people facing barriers to work.

Requirements for this job:

  • A relevant qualification, degree, vocational qualification or equivalent experience in Supported Employment.
  • Knowledge of REAL employment and how it functions and the routes into, and the opportunities available to vulnerable adults.
  • Experience of working in a role that promotes employment and being solution focused.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written, presentations and verbally, including influencing and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with agencies and employers
  • Have the ability to work effectively on own initiative, with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience of supporting or advocating for adults with additional support needs.

This is an office based role working within the council's core hours, however you will be required to work flexible hours around service need, possibly including occasional evenings and you may also be required to travel to various locations in order to carry out the duties of the job.
