Job Title: Therapist

Location: Kirksville, MO

Department: Clinical Services

Employment Type: Part-time

Shift: Monday – Friday, 20 scheduled weekly hours

As a Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients using evidence-based practices tailored to their unique needs. You’ll provide individual, group, and family therapy, develop treatment plans, and support clients in achieving their goals. This role requires licensure in counseling, social work, or marriage/family therapy, and a passion for helping others thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling in various settings.
  • Conduct intake assessments and determine diagnoses.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure service authorization.
  • Document services in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Assist clients through transitions and complete final documentation.
  • Respond to crisis situations and coordinate emergency services.
  • Provide supervision and consultation when qualified.
  • Facilitate specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy.
  • Represent the agency professionally in the community.
  • Complete all mandatory training and uphold ethical standards.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • L icensure in Missouri: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services (training provided).
Additional Qualifications
  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation methods and legal procedures.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and coordinate services effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport via telehealth and in-person interactions.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and professional development.
