Production Operator

Overview

The primary focus of a Production Operator is to fabricate assemblies while following all Wire Co policies, procedures, and work instructions. The position includes reading blueprints, using tape measures and other measuring devices to calculate the cut length of rope lengths to meet customer requirements. There may be other work-related duties assigned by management.

• Ensure product accuracy per customer specifications
• Operate presses, stamping machines, and other equipment
• Follow specifications and standards in an ISO 9001 environment

2nd shift (2:00 PM – midnight) Tuesday – Friday
Weekends (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) Friday – Sunday

• Fluent in English
• Basic computer skills
• Mathematical ability and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to learn to read and use micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for 10–12 hour shifts
• Ability to push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions with temperatures 40–100+ degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to learn all processes and demonstrate competency
• High school diploma or GED

• Standard office equipment (computer, mouse, keyboard, telephone, calculator, copier)
• Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed shoes)
• Production equipment (cut track, swager, press, coiler, tow motor, hoist, forklift)
• Measuring devices (ring gages, hardness tester, tape measure, micrometers, dial calipers, proof loaders, etc.)

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

• Must be willing to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
