Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- SUD

Location: Kirksville, MO
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications via oral, injection, and other approved methods.
  • Conduct physical and mental health assessments and psychiatric screenings.
  • Document medication administration and nursing assessments accurately.
  • Perform MAR reviews, medication counts, and manage house stock and refills.
  • Communicate with clients regarding medication needs and coordinate refill requests.
  • Prepare clients for appointments by verifying medical history and collecting vitals.
  • Maintain timely documentation of nursing interventions and client safety plans.
  • Support lab and phlebotomy duties as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for infection control, hygiene, and general health concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in EHR systems and documentation practices.
  • Ability to interpret lab results, clinical notes, and procedural manuals.
  • Skilled in basic math and medication dosage calculations.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Committed to confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
