ThePosition
This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver a broad range of business, administrative and project support to the Head of Facilities and NPD Contract and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support, including arranging meetings, managing diaries and taking minutes.
- Support contract and project work and help coordinate activities across the team.
- Maintain systems, databases and records to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Act as a point of contact for queries and liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Support the coordination of requests linked to the contract, including helpdesk activity.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Proactive and well‑organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confident using IT systems and working with data.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a professional approach.
- Educated to a degree level in a relevant field such as Administration or possess equivalent relevant work experience.

• Working pattern:
Part Time, 25 hours per week (5 hours per day Monday – Friday)

Contract:
Fixed‑Term for 12 months due to the substantive postholder’s return from Maternity Leave
• Condition:
Must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
The salary for this post is Band 4. If residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum.
