360 Plant Operator

Location:

Caunton, Newark (Nottinghamshire)
Salary: £27,400 per annum

Hours:

40 hours per week (Core hours 8:00am – 4:40pm)

Job Role

A great opportunity has arisen for a 360 Plant Operator to join a specialist UK manufacturing business producing high‑quality animal bedding products. This is a hands‑on role working within a busy production and warehouse environment where you will operate heavy plant equipment and support the smooth running of factory operations.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate 360‑degree loading equipment, forklifts, and telescopic loaders.
  • Operate bagging and drying machinery within the production facility.
  • Carry out basic fault finding and troubleshooting to support continuous production.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards.
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks on factory equipment.
  • Follow all company health & safety procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Core requirements: Valid forklift licence; previous experience operating plant machinery or working in a similar production environment; own transport due to site location.
  • Desirable experience: Experience operating 360 plant equipment or telescopic loaders; background in agricultural, industrial, or FMCG environments; basic maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Shift Pattern
