Behind every great customer experience is a well-stocked branch, an organised showroom and a team that's ready to help. We're looking for a Multi Skilled Retail Assistant to join our Kirkwall team. This is a varied, hands‑on role combining stock management, merchandising and customer service.

You'll play a key part in ensuring products are available, displays are well presented and customers receive the support they need. If you're reliable, organised and enjoy working as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.

As Multi Skilled Retail Assistant, you'll support both the retail showroom and stock operation, helping ensure the branch runs smoothly every day.

• Replenishing stock across the showroom and warehouse areas
• Ensuring shelves, displays and product areas are clean, organised and well presented
• Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
• Assisting with stock counts and stock accuracy activities
• Identifying low stock levels and reporting replenishment requirements
• Supporting customers at the trade counter and showroom
• Processing sales transactions and customer orders
• Helping customers locate products and offering advice where appropriate
• Loading and unloading stock safely
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and organisation
• Supporting colleagues across the branch during busy periods
• Assisting with seasonal displays, promotions and merchandising activities

• Previous experience in retail, warehousing, stock control or customer service
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A willingness to undertake manual handling activities
• Basic IT skills and confidence using business systems
• A flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the branch
• Previous experience within merchanting, retail, agricultural, trade supplies or warehouse environments would be advantageous but is not essential
