Service Manager (Transportation)

Location:

Harbour Authority Building, Scapa.

Hours:

35 hours per week, 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed where possible.

Salary: £62,908 - £68,529 (£34.47 - £37.55 per hour). Includes Distant Islands Allowance.

Purpose:

Lead, manage and develop core service delivery, maintain high standards, drive continual improvement and foster a culture of high performance. Support the Head of Marine Services and Transportation in the strategic direction of the service.

Key responsibilities include
:

• Develop and deliver transport strategies, policies and major programmes.
• Manage the public bus and inter‑island air services contracts.
• Oversee airfield operations and the Ferry Replacement Programme.
• Work closely with elected members, government agencies and key stakeholders to secure investment, influence policy and deliver long‑term infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure the provision of safe, sustainable and high‑quality services for our communities.
