Tax Return Preparer

Chief Marketing Officer/Chief Operating Officer

Milton Law Group seeks an experienced tax professional to provide the following services:

Prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations

• Forms 1040 (200+ households annually), 1065, 1120, 1120‑S, 1041, and 990s
• Drake Software experience preferred

Assist with tax collection defense, tax resolution, and tax controversy matters

• Reconstruct income/expenses and perform bank account analysis for non‑filers
• Prepare collection financials for individuals and small businesses (433‑As/433‑Bs)
• Pursue installment agreements and/or offers‑in‑compromise with taxing authorities
• Assist with litigation matters in U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court

Degree/License Requirement(s): CPA, Enrolled Agent, and/or Law License preferred, but not required.

Required Experience/

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience preparing individual and small business tax returns; able to assist with estate/trust tax returns; experience with Quick Books and/or performing bookkeeping for small businesses a plus; must have the experience and competence to oversee the entire tax return preparation process.

Location: St. Louis, MO (in‑office required; some opportunities to work remotely); satellite offices in Kansas City, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Hours: Full‑Time (40+ hours/week)

• Salary: $75,000+ (negotiable depending on level of experience)
• 100% of health insurance paid by employer (for employee)
• 401(k) with 3% employer match
• Performance‑based bonuses
