• Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Interpret roadway plans and drawings, demonstrating an understanding of grades.
• Finish base to a ¼” tolerance and work with various base courses such as lime rock, crushed concrete, and soil cement.
• Follow project instructions from the construction manager or supervisor.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt exposure.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of grader operation and computerized controls.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Openness to out‑of‑town travel and/or overtime.
• Fluency in English;
  Spanish is a plus but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
