Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site role for an ESE/504 Coordinator located in Kissimmee, FL. The coordinator will oversee the implementation of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Section 504 plans to ensure compliance with regulations and individualized student needs. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining IEPs and 504 accommodations, coordinating meetings with stakeholders, providing guidance to teachers, conducting student evaluations, and monitoring progress.
The ESE/504 Coordinator will also ensure that state and federal requirements are met and will serve as a resource for faculty and families regarding special education services and accommodations.
- Knowledge of ESE and 504 plan development, compliance, and implementation
- Experience in conducting evaluations, progress monitoring, and student assessments
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and coordination with families, staff, and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with laws and regulations related to special education, including IDEA and Section 504
- Proficiency in organizing and facilitating meetings and documenting outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience working in a K‑8 educational setting or related field
- Certification in Special Education or related area preferred
