Description
Inspire Learning. Empower Parents. Change a Child's Future From the Very Beginning.
EARLY HEAD START HOME VISITOR
BUILD BRIDGES TO SUCCESS

At Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS), we believe a child's earliest years lay the foundation for lifelong success.

As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you'll help infants, toddlers, and families build strong beginnings through education, support, encouragement, and meaningful relationships. Every home visit is an opportunity to empower parents, strengthen child development, and create brighter futures for children during the most critical years of growth.

When you join CHS, you're not simply delivering a curriculum. You're partnering with families to help children reach developmental milestones, strengthen parent-child relationships, and build the skills families need to thrive.

If you're passionate about early childhood education, family engagement, and making a lasting impact during a child's first years of life, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

YOUR IMPACT

As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you'll serve as an educator, coach, advocate, and trusted support for families with young children.

You'll bring learning directly into the home, helping parents become their child's first and most important teacher while supporting healthy development from birth through age three.

This role helps ensure children enter school ready to learn, families feel supported and empowered, and communities benefit from stronger foundations for lifelong success.

Your work may include:
  • Conducting weekly home visits using the Early Head Start curriculum.
  • Facilitating engaging learning experiences that promote school readiness and healthy development.
  • Partnering with families to establish meaningful goals and family partnership agreements.
  • Conducting developmental screenings and assessments.
  • Supporting the growth and development of infants, toddlers, children with disabilities, and dual-language learners.
  • Providing parent education, coaching, and resources to strengthen family success.
  • Connecting families to healthcare, community resources, and support services.
  • Encouraging parent leadership, participation, and engagement within the Early Head Start program.
  • Monitoring children's health, nutrition, medical appointments, and developmental progress.
  • Facilitating group socialization activities that promote family engagement and peer support.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, participant records, and program data.
