Bio Life Plasma Services (a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.) invites applications for the Plasma Center Nurse – LPN position in Kissimmee, FL.
OverviewThe role supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician for medical issues.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions occurring at the facility as outlined in SOPs; follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician’s standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when providing unacceptable findings to donors or for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
- Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including the graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for the Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location & CompensationUSA – FL – Kissimmee
Hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79 (actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location). U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits. U.S. employees can accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation and up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year.
