Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Registered Nurse RN for our Cardiovascular Surgery of Osceola practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

* You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions

* You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions

* You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results

* Support providers with growing busy cardiothoracic practice

* Manage and triage clinical patient phone calls, escalate to the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) as necessary, and ensure appropriate follow-up.

* Assist with clinic chart prep/ follow up - ensure appropriate data/testing available to improve visit efficiency

* Collaborate with surgeons/ MA staff/ scheduling to prioritize clinical needs for pre-op surgical planning

* Basic wound care/ drain/ stitch or suture removal in office

* Pt education for patients and families:

* Addressing postoperative medical inquiries

* Educating on preoperative and postoperative expectations

* Planning preoperative medication protocols

What Qualifications you will need:

* Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required

* 1-3 years experience as a registered nurse & cardiology experienced is highly preferred

* Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations
