Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day operations in assigned food outlet to ensure the efficiency of the department
  • Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers and departments
  • Visually inspect, select and only use the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and other food products to ensure the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items
  • Assist in FIFO procedures and product handling within the department
  • Ensure the setup, prep, and execution of outlet runs smoothly
  • Adhere to Reunion Resort and Golf Club company procedures and policies
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all areas are being followed
  • Expedite and/or work on the line when and as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the quality of the food and presentation meet or exceed expectations and food is served in a timely manner
  • Assist in the execution of all events related to banquets and outlets as well as other resort events as needed, from set-up/prep to scheduling, ordering and receiving
  • Assist in controlling food & labor costs against budget
  • Maintain all sanitation and HACCP documentation
  • Ensure that all equipment in the kitchen is clean and in proper working condition; maintain overall cleanliness, safety and sanitation of all BOH areas
  • Communicate effectively with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
  • Stay informed on inventory levels, events, specials, and group functions
  • Foster professional working relationships with colleagues across all departments
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment locations, and reporting protocols
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, ensuring the assigned uniform is clean, pressed, and complete with the required nametag
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Qualifications
  • Culinary Arts degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience leading a team; private club or upscale restaurant background preferred
  • Must have strong kitchen line experience, expo line, and grill/sauté experience
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods, and perform repetitive motions (reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling) for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in hot environments
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food safety certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position
