Havertys is actively seeking individuals who wish to pursue a successful and gratifying career in the retail furniture industry. As a Retail Furniture Sales Consultant, you will assist customers in selecting furniture by understanding their needs and helping them create a warm and inviting home.

• Provide excellent service to customers from contact through delivery and beyond.
• Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect and establish relationships with a diverse group of customers.
• Build relationships with customers independently and in collaboration with our Interior Design Consultant.
• Reinforce customer selections and assist in completing the look of their rooms.
• Provide product, service, and finance expertise based on customers’ needs.
• Utilize company‑provided tablets and proprietary technology for customer communication.
• Enter client information using Havertys customer relationship management system and provide professional follow‑up.
• Maintain knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles and products.

• Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products (preferred but not required).
• Computer proficiency including email experience; knowledge of MS Office (preferred); tablet/iPad operation strongly preferred.
• Relevant experience preferred but not required.
• College education preferred; high school/GED or equivalent required; or 1‑3 years of retail experience preferably in a commissioned sales position.
• Interior Design highly desired.

• Retail hours including nights and weekends (10am–7pm Monday–Saturday, 12pm–6pm Sunday).

• Must regularly lift and/or move more than 20 pounds occasionally.
• Color recognition required.
