Southern Home Services is a residential HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical company that acquires, owns, and operates businesses across the United States. We are seeking a Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems.

• Diagnosing problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment
• Determining whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers
• Installing and assembling plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
• Performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components
• Testing for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety
• Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains
• Managing the inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, including checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts
• Keeping equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
• Maintaining safety equipment
• Additional duties as assigned

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
• Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
• Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
• Experience with tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical fitness for lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
• Commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work‑management software.
• Leadership and teamwork ability.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience.

Licensing:
Active and valid Journeyman Plumbing License. Additional certifications such as backflow prevention or gas piping are a plus.

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
• Ability to drive.
• Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
• Work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
