Lifeguard- H2O Waterpark

Job Overview

Position: LIFEGUARD - RETURNING. Season begins March 5th, 2026. Immediate openings in the lifeguard department.

• Provide swimmer protection of aquatic areas, dispatch attractions, enforce rules, administer first aid and CPR, and provide exceptional guest service.
• Perform responsibilities in line with Ellis & Associates Certified Aquatic Risk Management Program.
• Respond to any situations that compromise the safety of the guests in their respective area.
• Ensure the environment keeps safety the number one concern for all guests and team members.
• Contribute to park clean‑up and reset guest area for the following operational day.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Be in good physical condition.
• All applicants must successfully complete our Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Training Program;
  First Aid and CPR training is provided during the class.
• Must pass a prerequisite swim test that includes:
• Swim 50 yards continuously using an approach stroke (breaststroke or front crawl)
• Retrieve a 5lb brick from the deepest part of the pool (6 feet)
• Tread water without the use of hands for 2 minutes

• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
• Must possess manual dexterity, hand and arm reach, and ability to read, communicate verbally, and hear.
• Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional climbing and working at heights above 100 feet.
• Occasional sitting or balancing.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; requires manual and bi‑manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
• Maintain ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight.
• The noise level is generally moderate to high.
