Position: Vaco Highspring Cost Accountant Role
Location: Mitchell

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant in the Greater Toronto Area to enhance our manufacturing insights. This role focuses on operational reporting and cost efficiency improvements.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing context. You'll collaborate with plant leadership on daily reports, analyze cost variances, and maintain adherence to corporate reporting standards. Proficient Excel skills will be crucial for your success in driving actionable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports

• Analyze variances in production and standard costs

• Collaborate on financial insight initiatives and trends

• Conduct audits to validate product costing procedures

• Ensure timely month-end inventory reporting and reconciliations

Requirements:

• Over 2 years in cost accounting with a manufacturing focus

• Proficiency in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables

• CPA in progress is a plus

• AS400 knowledge beneficial

• Must currently live within the Greater Toronto Area
