Join the Region of Waterloo as a Temporary Clerk II in Accounts Payable. This full-time role offers a hybrid work environment and focuses on invoice processing and vendor communications.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable department, you'll be tasked with coding and matching invoices, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely financial transactions.
Your role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and accurate accounting practices. Engage with various stakeholders to handle inquiries and facilitate payments, while preparing financial documents for auditing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and process payment documents from vendors
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Conduct audits of utility payments annually
• Provide support for child care payment processing
• Assist in financial reporting for accounts payable
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years in accounting roles
• Knowledge of accounting software and basic principles
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Experience with the Ontario Child Care Management System preferred
