Position: Auditor for Real Estate Council of Ontario
Join the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) as an Auditor in a hybrid work environment. Conduct vital audits to support consumer protection and regulatory compliance across real estate brokerages.

RECO is seeking Auditors for its Audit & Inspection team, with five permanent positions available immediately. This role involves financial, operational, and compliance audits under the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, contributing to a fair marketplace. Key skills include analytical thinking, compliance assessment, and communication, ensuring effective oversight within the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk-based and special audits of brokerages

• Review and assess financial records and trust accounts

• Evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements

• Verify accuracy of trust account reconciliations

• Identify discrepancies in financial transactions

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of auditing or regulatory compliance experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

• CPA designation is preferred

• Knowledge of brokerage operations is an asset

• Strong ethical standards and accountability
