Bin Sentry is seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in an agile environment and is passionate about
building scalable processes. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential, ideal for someone
who is ready to take ownership of key accounting functions and make an impact.
- Accounts & Allocations:
Oversee complex general ledger accounts including deferred revenue,
inventory, and COGS. - Month-End Close:
Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. - Financial Reporting:
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in accordance with ASPE. - Audit Management:
Liase with external auditors, providing audit requests and supporting
schedules to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process. - Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems,
and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the company scales. - Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and
Development.
In your first year you will:
- Accelerate the month-end close cycle, ensuring clean, accurate reconciliations and financial
statements are completed predictably each month. - Establish strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Development to provide
actionable accurate reporting and analysis, and operational alignment. - Optimize and document core accounting processes—to build scalable internal controls and
processes as Bin Sentry grows.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA designation (or in progress).
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is a must.
- Ability to demonstrate logic and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight
timelines with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Net Suite is a plus.
