Reports To: Senior Finance Manager
Position SummaryThis role is responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for the company. This role will perform a wide range of accounting related duties to ensure that financial results are reported on time on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Duties & Responsibilities- Process daily bank payments and prepare weekly cash balances report.
- Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable, monthly accruals and payroll booking.
- Prepare journal entries for daily accounting transactions.
- Manage inter‑company transactions and monthly reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly HST/GST filing.
- Assist in monthly reporting packages, quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation.
- Assist with internal and external audit queries.
- Perform government remittances and reporting.
- Assist with periodic Survey of Statistics Canada.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Code of Business Conduct.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, especially in Treasury and AP roles.
- Experience with foreign currencies is desirable.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Ability to prioritize and multi‑task with excellent time management skills.
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
