Construction Accounts Payable Assistant

Support Zehr Construction with accounts payable, invoice processing, and organized records in a typically office-based Accounting Assistant role.

This Accounting Assistant supports Zehr Group’s construction division through supplier and subcontractor invoice administration. The position combines accounts payable, certificate tracking, document organization, and communication with project coordinators, managers, suppliers, and trades. Experience can lead to additional responsibilities in project management and construction.

• Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox
• Input supplier and subcontractor invoices
• Review statements and resolve missing invoices
• Update WSIB and insurance certificates
• Organize accounting documents in company systems

• Zero to two years’ administrative experience
• Basic finance, bookkeeping, and accounting knowledge
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience with accounting systems;
  Sage 300 CRE and Procore are assets
