Laboratory Sample Preparation Assistant positions at ALS focus on meticulous sample handling, preparation, and routine analysis within a global testing network.
This Laboratory Assistant role supports simple and complex sample preparations, extractions, laboratory maintenance, and analyses. You will retrieve, weigh, tray, prepare, and archive samples while following established procedures. The position also involves reagent preparation, data processing, quality control, documentation, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrieve, store, dispose of, and archive laboratory samples
- Weigh and tray samples under supervision
- Perform filtration, screening, extraction, and digestion procedures
- Prepare reagents, standards, and reference materials
- Complete data processing, documentation, and quality control
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous laboratory experience; full training provided
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Careful, meticulous, organized, and independently capable work style
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions
