As a Steel Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for all steel-related projects by quantifying materials and labor. You will interact with clients and team members, refining estimating processes and standards while ensuring successful project execution. Strong communication skills and client service focus are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cost estimates on tender work and conceptual designs

• Evaluate project specifications to ascertain necessary costs

• Maintain accurate quote tracker updates

• Assess indirect cost allowances and escalations

• Review and validate project cost reports for accuracy

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Post-secondary education in construction or engineering preferred

• 5 years of experience in manufacturing and cost estimating

• Proficient in reading specifications and blueprints

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
