Role at a Glance

The Senior Project Manager leads the planning, design, and execution of complex, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering projects. This roleis responsible fredag delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

As a seasoned professional,the Senior Project Manager serves as the primary client contact, provides strategic oversight on major assignments, and mentors intermediate and junior project managers. The Senior Project Manager operates independently, manages multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, and contributes to firm-wide improvements in project delivery and management practice

What you will do Project Management:
  • Manage all phases of complex projects, from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, integrating architecture, engineering, and specialty disciplines.
  • Oversee project planning, design coordination, cost control, and risk management.
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of drawings and specifications at each project deliverable stage (SD, DD, Tender, IFC, etc.)
  • Oversee project application and review processes with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Manage the project construction budget and performanceobjectivesthrough the development of project design.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Administer construction contracts following applicable legislation and best practice standards, including various CCDC contract types (CCDC 2, 5A/B, 14, 30, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for construction administration processes, including general client, contractor, and sub-consultant correspondence; RFI response; submittal review; and development of supplemental instructions or project changes (PCN, CO, CD).
  • Review contractor payment applications, issue certificates for payment, and review project closeout documentation.
  • Review and assess project status at closeout, prepare the certificate for substantial performance, and coordinate with the stamping architect and engineers for issuance of final review letters
Financial and Administrative:
  • Negotiate and administer client and consultant agreements.
  • Track and report project performance metrics, proactively addressing risks and variances.
  • Prepareaccurateandtimelymonthlyinvoicingin accordance with project milestones and financial agreements.
Client Interaction:
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients on project development and management issues throughout the project lifecycle, including attending and/or leading project meetings with clients, stakeholders, sub-consultants, and authorities.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
Business Development:
  • Support business development and proposal efforts through fee estimates, work plans, and presentations
Leadership and Organizational Development:
  • Leadership of the Project Coordination team, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Promote collaboration and communication across disciplines and project teams.
  • Support PMO initiatives by sharing lessons learned and adopting firm-wide best practices including the maintenance of construction documents and workflows in construction.
What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree orcollegediploma in Architecture, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management or related roles, with a focus on overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Enrolment in or completion of PMP,and licensure with OAA, P.Eng., C.E.T. orC.Techwould be considered an asset.
  • Completion ofWF Group Inc.

    PM orientation training.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian/Ontario and other relevant codes and standards (i.e.OBC, ESC, CSA, IES, IEEE, NFPA, ASHRAE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to devise practical andeconomicalsolutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability toestablisheffective working relationships.
  • Superb communication, time management and multi-tasking skills, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
