Support event operations in Kitchener with strong communication and attention to detail. This casual part-time position offers up to 24 hours weekly.
The Event Lead provides day-of-event support for Kitchener Market and Downtown activities. You will assist Event Coordinators by delivering event logistics, monitoring staff, and addressing operational concerns. Success requires public-facing customer service experience, adaptability, and confidence communicating instructions.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor casual staff and assign work areas
- Assist vendors, crafters, and sellers during activations
- Check facilities and report problems to supervisors
- Communicate supervisor instructions and customer needs
- Direct patrons during emergencies and answer facility questions
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Six months of event-related customer service experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable approach with a good employment record
- Availability for variable hours, including statutory holidays
