High School Math/Science Teacher/Tutor – Part‑time (Evenings, Monday to Thursday)

Oxford Learning Kitchener South is seeking motivated individuals to teach mathematics and science to Grades 9–12 students. Lessons are pre‑planned, and the tutor will receive full training in our proprietary methods.

• Work evenings, Monday to Thursday, 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
• Commitment of one year
• In‑person role – must be able to commute to the Kitchener, ON location
• Vulnerable sector screening required
• No relocation package available

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Strong knowledge of Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
• Some experience teaching or tutoring at the Grade 9–12 level
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Excellent math skills and ability to guide student understanding
• Ability to multitask and work with up to three students simultaneously

• Teach up to three students at a time, at different skill levels, both online and in‑person
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times; encourage student confidence and self‑esteem
• Help students overcome academic hurdles and realize their potential

Salary: $18 per hour

Schedule: Evenings, Monday to Thursday, 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
