Innov Oak School is seeking an exceptional Junior School Home Form and Science Teacher to join our growing team.
This position is being created as a result of continued enrolment growth and is expected to begin in September 2026.
Successful candidates will be assigned a Junior School Home Form (Grades 1 to
6), either as a straight-grade or split-grade classroom, based on their experience, strengths, and school needs. In addition to leading a Home Form, you will teach Science, Coding, and Field Studies across one or more Junior School grades.
Home Form teachers may also teach Health, Visual Arts, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Innov Oak's LifeREADY learning skills program.
For some candidates, this opportunity will include establishing a new classroom by creating the learning environment, selecting a classroom theme, organizing resources, and building a positive classroom culture before students arrive in September.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
Serve as the Home Form teacher for a Junior School classroom (Grades 1 to
6).
Teach Science, Coding, and Field Studies across one or more Junior School grades.
Home Form teachers may also teach Health, Visual Arts, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Innov Oak's LifeREADY learning skills program.
Create a welcoming, organized, and structured classroom with clear routines and high expectations.
Build strong relationships with students and families.
Conduct regular teacher-student learning conversations to provide coaching, feedback, and goal setting.
Deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage inquiry, experimentation, observation, investigation, and problem solving.
Teach coding through age-appropriate programming, computational thinking, robotics, and digital technologies.
Plan authentic Field Studies experiences that connect classroom learning with nature, the community, environmental stewardship, and real-world applications.
Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs while maintaining academic rigour.
Assess student learning using a variety of strategies and provide meaningful feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and student achievement.
Contribute positively to the broader life of the school.

Qualifications Ontario College of Teachers certification or eligibility for certification is strongly preferred.
