Job Title:

Employment Specialist

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; flexibility required.

Start Date:

Immediately

Compensation:  Base salary of $52,500, with eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.

What you’ll be doing :

Actively contact corporate employers to source leads for job and internship opportunities and coordinate on‑campus visits.

Promote graduates, events, and market trends to businesses.

Conduct corporate presentations about triOS graduates.

Maintain ongoing relationships through frequent follow‑up contact to secure internship leads.

Attend networking events, association meetings, trade shows, and career fairs.

Collaborate with Marketing to arrange employer participation at events such as Career Fairs, Lunch and Learns.

Build an extensive account base using XCAS – College Corporate Administration System, magazines, newspapers, directories, and the internet.

Develop relationships with employers to review and support program approvals for submission to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Deliver new student orientation sessions as scheduled.

Conduct one‑hour in‑class Employment Ready workshops for students setting goals, objectives, directives, and expectations.

Meet job placement and internship targets as defined by Management.

Collaborate with Marketing to develop student success stories, graduate profiles, and employer references.

What you bring to the position:

Post‑secondary education in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Business or Career Development.

Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in recruitment (placements) and/or business development.

Three years of experience training or teaching adults in career management, employment facilitation, and one‑to‑one counseling.

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

Knowledge of employment search techniques, career management competencies, training needs analysis, and counseling techniques.

Awareness of labour market trends and information.

Computer literacy in MS Office, Internet, and email.

Superior organizational and problem‑solving skills.
