Full-Time Early Childhood Educator Role

Join the team at the Biigtigong Children and Family Learning Center as a full-time Early Childhood Educator. You'll plan and implement enriching programs for children's development in a nurturing environment.

As a key member of the Child & Family Learning Center, your role is to provide daily care for children and foster their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will hold a Post-Secondary Diploma in Early Childhood Education and be a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators. You'll utilize a range of teaching techniques while collaborating with parents and community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan age-appropriate development programs for children

• Foster communication with families and community organizations

• Create a balanced daily schedule of activities

• Incorporate Nishnaabeg traditions and language in programming

• Attend professional development workshops for growth

Requirements:

• Secondary School Graduate Diploma

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Early Childhood Education

• Clear Criminal Reference Check required

• Current First Aid & CPR certification

• Experience with First Nation Children and Families
